Roadmap authority
Roadmap authority
Section titled “Roadmap authority”Principle
Section titled “Principle”Single source of truth for what Sylva is building, in what order, and what status means lives in this documentation site under Roadmap. GitHub supports execution (PRs, releases, occasional tactical issues); it is not the canonical backlog.
Status vocabulary
Section titled “Status vocabulary”Use the same language across roadmap pages (Roadmap overview):
Planned— selected for a future window, not started. In progress— active implementation.Shipped— released or merged for an upcoming release; tie release notes here.Deprecated— superseded; minimal remaining work.
GitHub issues (allowed roles)
Section titled “GitHub issues (allowed roles)”- Short-lived work — e.g. a concrete bug with repro steps before the fix lands.
- External / transient — coordination that does not belong in the doc tree.
- Not long-term product planning—that belongs in roadmap docs after Triage.
When GitHub and roadmap disagree
Section titled “When GitHub and roadmap disagree”Roadmap wins. Update GitHub (close or relink issues) so mirrors stay honest—see GitHub alignment with roadmap.
